We are also planning a trip to see Becky in Legally Blonde on Friday November 28th, 2:00 PM at Proctors in Schenectady. Please indicate your interest in tickets. You will be responsible for your own ride but carpooling opportunities will be made available.

Fall Workshops

Here is your chance to register for the Fall 2008 Acting Workshop session. This term we are offering the usual fare of acting classes and our brand new In Our Own Write program. Enrollment is limited, so you are encouraged to secure your class placement as soon as possible. In order to have the correct amount of materials needed for this section--make sure you tell me in advance that you are showing up.

Class Choices
All Classes begin on September 6th and meet on Saturdays for 8 weeks at the Kirkland Art Center. A reminder e-mail will be sent out the week Workshops begin .

10:00-11:15, Acting ;Elementary thru 7th Grade. Theatre games, pantomime, improvisation and scriptwork provide exciting means for learning performance skills in movement, voice and imagination. Cost: $75.00 ** Instructor: Jackie Osterman with Shannon Stanfield

11:15 -12:15: In Our Own Write for grades 3-7 . Built around the theme of Heroes. Students explore their imaginations while learning the basic elements of playwriting thru theater games, including developing characters, creating dialogue, building scenes and stories. Class will be working on script for Spring production. Registration is $60.00** Class will be taught by Shannon Stanfield .

12:00-2:00, Advanced Acting ; A Technique based class designed around Character work thru:exercises in voice, movement, and improvisation, students familiarize themselves with the more advanced fundamentals of acting. Enrollment is limited. Cost $85.00.
